Cathy Mantziaris is a highly skilled Administrative and Legal Assistant/Clerk renowned for her exceptional organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and unwavering professionalism. With extensive experience in navigating complex legal processes, Cathy is dedicated to improving operational efficiency and providing comprehensive support to her team and clients. She excels in managing client intake, correspondence, and document preparation for a variety of cases, including historical sexual abuse, civil litigation, and employment law, always with a focus on meeting the unique needs of each client.
Before joining Gillian Hnatiw & Co. as a Litigation and Administrative Law Clerk, Cathy spent 27 years at a prominent downtown Toronto boutique litigation firm, where she worked closely with Gillian for nearly a decade. Over the course of her distinguished career, Cathy supported a wide array of legal disciplines, including civil litigation, health law, class actions, insurance defence, personal injury, employment, commercial, and family law. She has contributed to cases before all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and has gained significant expertise in administrative tribunals, professional disciplinary proceedings, and Coroner’s Inquests. Notably, Cathy assisted in the Inquests into the deaths of Ashley Smith (2013) and Katelynn Sampson (2016) alongside Gillian.
Outside of her professional life, Cathy enjoys exploring the outdoors, gardening, photography, and spending quality time with family and friends, reflecting her commitment to teamwork, growth, and nurturing positive relationships.
