Gillian Hnatiw & Co. is a feminist litigation boutique with a broad civil litigation practice with special expertise arising from sexual, physical, and psychological abuse, harassment, and assault. In addition, the firm practices in the areas of professional negligence, health, defamation, employment, and human rights law. We advocate for plaintiffs and defendants, individuals and corporations, professionals and the socially marginalized, and everyone in between.
 
We are hiring an articling student for the 2026-2027 term. Students at the firm work closely with our lawyers and will be involved in all aspects of the civil litigation process, research, and legal drafting, meeting with and preparing clients for various steps in the litigation process, and supporting lawyers at discoveries, mediations, trials, and other court proceedings. We're looking for a student with an intersectional feminist lens who sees the law as a tool for achieving social advancement. The ideal candidate will be detailed-oriented, collaborative, and have excellent problem-solving skills, along with a demonstrated interest in litigation and strong research and writing skills.
